I suspected that my car was leaking boost, so I built a boost leak tester and found that my TurboXS BOV was leaking around the adapter. I sealed that up and the car felt fine...for about a day! I hooked up my tester again and the sytem would not pressurize. There were no audible leaks, but the tester was "inflating" almost like a balloon and my gauge (Boost inside car) was not moving at all. Now when I my car pulls until i hit 5 PSI, but after that the gauge goes to 15 but doesn't feel any different. My turbo has no shaft play and my gas is draining fast! I would appreciate any help as I am in great need of it!

you might wanna move this question to the advanced tech section, i dont think any noobies would be able to figure this one out :thumb:

If you're trying to pressurize the system with a leak tester and it won't pressurize, either something is wrong with your tester, or you have a massive boost leak.

Sealing up one leak often causes another to occur (the part sees more pressure than its ever seen before, which causes it to blow).

Are you sure all your intercooler pipes are still connected tightly?

It's not that the system wouldn't HOLD air, it's that the air would not go INTO the system at all. I have snugged up all of my IC piping but on the Lower ICP there is a platic tank connected to teh pipe about 2 inches from the intercooler. I looked at my friend's @g and his did not have this. What is this tank? Could that be one of the problems? I'll try and get a pic if I can.

That's the mystery expansion muffler baloney tank. No one really knows. But I've yet to find anyone who can give a "why" about the same kind of idiot tank in the clutch hydraulics.

It's the general concensus that it's a silencer for the intake, but another thing it is, is more volume for the turbine to pressurize- which could be easier on the turbine, I suppose. If you remove it, you'll imagine you have better spool-up, and since all we are is what we think, many make the mod.

As for your intake not pressurizing, bump the motor over so none of the valves are overlapped.
