I searched the forum and it seems the fog lights on 1Gs are not removable, at least not without removing the front bumper/fender ? This is not an option for me, since we had to fix the fender so there are like 10 extra screws on it that are not coming off..

Drill just strips the two screws on either fog light... any other way?

The Screws on the fog lights are for the lens'. There should be two 10mm bolts behind the fog lights to take out the frames and then you can take out the fog lights. If i'm not mistaken

Yup, they're removeable. Look behind the whole fog light assembly, they're attached to a bracket and the bracket is attached to the frame. Theres 3 bolts holding each bracket up. You'll have to remove some of the black plastic weather guard to get at it.
