Hey all,

Are the clear corner replacements on Ebay any good? Good quality? Anyone have them? At $25 one has to wonder....

Ebay is a good place to buy stuff from but you gotta be careful of scammers, i think your better off buying some from somebody else such as nopi or machv, i got mine from nopi and i paid about 35, you pay a little more but you know its not used or if the quality is good, but its all up to you but be careful on ebay, good luck.

Thanks for the links and input, all. I will keep looking on ebay and if they are cheap enough, I might pick up a pair and reseal them befor install. Nopi doesn't seem to have them for my year buy MachV does at $50 a pair.

I got min eon ebay, fit perfectly... but they leak inside. So, maybe, reseal around the seam first.

Take them off and dry them out with a hair dryer. Then buy some black silicone or whatever color you like and reseal them. I used red to make sure mine were sealed and it matches my car for a little extra effect.

I had no problem with my 1G clear corners, picked them up for $14.95 about eight months ago. They are identical to the units that Mach V sells for something like $50, and look great.

Looks like I'll be picking up a pair soon off ebay. Lowest price I have seen however is 24.95, so I'll keep any eye out.

Ack! PAY for clear corners? That's what an oven and 10 mins of your time is for! Pop em' out of the car, after you preheat the oven to 350ish. Grab a_mom_01's favorite cookie sheet and slap them babies in the oven for like 5 mins. (5 mins may or may not be long enough to melt the glue holding them together.) Then... with some gloves on, carefully pry your corner apart...you don't have to pry them apart all the way. Then, grab that little amber piece in there with some needle nose pliers and pop it out. If you did it quick enough, you can just press your light back together and reinstall accordingly. If not, pop that SO back in the oven to melt the glue and have another go at it.

*Note.... this was not my idea and thanks to who ever came up with it.*

I like mine. I also got the silvered amber bulbs, too.

That looks nice but that literally is clear corners. I'm getting pissed off at the sellers because I keep getting outbid by someone else when there are about 10 of the same auction going on and I don't want to spend more then the minimum. My friend said that the sellers sometimes make fake usernames so that they can rake in more money.

Oh yeah where did you get those Defiant?

That's 1G. 2Gs have separate lights.

And, 350°F is too hot.

They make completely clears, clear "diamonds" and clear with the stock faceting. I've been through them all and like these best. And since it's my opinion, of course it's very true.

Does the term "sniping" have any meaning to you, outside the bird hunt and murder-at-range?

Ah, yes. Friends. I have one that tells of running a car on water and little green pills. The dealers selling on eBay don't have the time to eff with it. Private parties may bid up their own items, but eBay will can their asses if they find out.

eBay, of course. I out-sniped some other sucker.

I don't plan to keep mine clear when I receive them in the mail, I'm going to paint it a black tint. I would do it on my amber ones but the previous owner didn't know how to remove them and he broke the retainer clips so I have a tape keeping it in there.

too late I already got them, I put them on and I didn't like the way the super bright white contrasted against my black paint. I got some black tint already on it, looks better, I might put another coat since it looks a bist blue.
