You're only saving about 20-30 dollars by going to Lotek.
I've had great results with Faze gauges -$45 +/- 30
And autometer costs a mere 50-55.

Autometer 30/30 starts at 50 bucks depending on the style you want.

I was looking at Extremepsi.com and I found some autometer boost and vac gauges frr about $70. I do want mechanical if I am just connected to the hose with the t-fitting.

I highly reccomend a VDO gauge and pod and tubing kit from http://www.bugsandbuggies.com/vdo_bld.asp?Series=Vision&Cart= it will cost you about $75 shipped for everything. These are the same gauges used in Porsches. They're basic, but they're backlit and match the oem gauges.

I have the VDO boost gauge. I love it. It reads accurately and lights up well. I got mine from extrememotorsports.com along with their install kit, which, considering other people's problems installing other boost gauges WITHOUT a kit, this makes everything super easy.

That's a pretty good deal. Heck, even if you don't go with this particular gauge, at least get the install kit and save yourself the trouble of using the crappy, kink-prone nylon tube that comes with every gauge.

I think I am going to get a VDO gauge, with that installation kit, then I have to get a A-Pillar, which I think I am going to get from Lo-tek. What is another necassry gauge to have?

EGT, and maybe oil pressure or water temp. The good news about the guage pods is, if you get the 2 1/16" (52mm?) guage size (I'm pretty sure that's the size that the VDO boost guage is), you can buy camera lens caps that fit in the hole perfectly and cover it. So if you don't fill all two or three holes right away, you can cover the others up and still have it look nice. I've got one left to fill, as soon as I can afford an EGT gauge.

And because I'm a nice guy (and have nothing better to do on a Saturday) I took some pics of how the Lo-tek looks with the VDO boost gauge, another gauge, and a lens cap covering a hole, just to give you an idea.

I have the VDO gauge. I bought it from egauges.com for 30 bucks. You can get an install kit there too, for around 10 bucks.

Oh, that is nice. My mom has a couple of those covers for her SLR camera...

You get to pick which three gauges you want. They're made by GlowShift but I'm not sure if they're better for looks or performance. Good Deal? Which 3 would you pick?

Don't be afraid to spend a little money, after all this is your engine you're monitoring. I saved some cash by going with Autometer, but all in all I like the setup.

I'd like a black face that luminates as well. But the lumination I'm seeking is just the numbers and dashes. I love the red lighting like our stock 2g gauges look.

www.carbontrix.com then fill it with 60mm or 2 5/8" guages. It's like looking at 3 wall clocks compared to the 52mm or 2 1/16" guages.
