ok,i have searched the site but found nothing. ok, when the car is cold it runs great. but once it heats up to normal operating temp and the computer starts reading on "closed loop"(i think that's right but either way it's once it heats up) i can't drive over 1500 rpms with out big problems. not positive that this is it but this is what it feels like: something is telling the computer to cut fuel then add it. then repeats. so a lot of bucking and jerking. only does this at full throttle though. at part throttle it only revs the motor from 1k to 1.5k rpms and won't hardly move (unless under 1500rpms). so basically the car isn't driveable. no check engine codes or anything. i swapped the ecu with a friend of mines' eprom ecu but the car still does the same thing. so the ecu isn't bad. all i can figure is that it must be a bad sensor somewhere. i need help on this fast. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a major intake leak (an intercooler coupler came loose), or one of your sensors / EGR / Thermostat crapped out.

Get a code reader to check for any CELs and can read THIS tech article on what the codes mean :dsm:

Like DSM90AWD said. It sounds like you're having serious intake air metering problems. It's a guess anyway. I'm not exactly sure why it would be radically different before it's warmed, but check all connections from the air can to the throttlebody. A boost leak test might be a good idea as well. I had similar symptoms when I forgot to tighten the hose at the TB elbow once.

well i have a datalogger that can check the engine codes. but the computer is not throwing any codes. according to my boost guage, boost is holding just fine. this is a big mystery to me. has no one else experienced this before?

ok today i swapped out the MAS, front 02, and the transistor pack. no luck. getting aggrivated. could this possibly have something to do with the anti theft system? reason i say this is because my car won't start unless i bypass the starter relay that is behind the radio. that relay isn't bad nut the car won't start without bypassing it. and i recently learned that the little green wire with black stripe that is also in that relay runs to the anti theft relay. would the anti theft system cause the car to run like that?

would the anti theft system cause the car to run like that?

Try to unhook it and find out that way.
Also check the throttle position sensor. It may not be reading cvorrectly which is causing it to add fuel or cut fuel to match your airflow.

well i have already tried the tps and unplugging the anti tehft relay. same result. today i am going try the sensors that i haven't already tried. coolant, map, and others. i gues if it still runs crazy i will justa have to take it to the dealership and have them look at it. don't want to have to do that though

Try looking at your plug wires. I had the same problem when i went WOT. It stuttered badly. Replaced the plug wires and it ran smooth immediately. The boots had deteriorated and the plugs were arcing to the inside of the head before it got a chance to make it into the cylinder. This happenned only at WOT, low rpm driving was unaffected.

mine wouldn't be the plugs wires. if it were then the problem would happen all the time but my problem is just once the moter warms up. has to be a sensor somewhere. it is really starting to piss me off though. it seems like it is putting a 1500 rpm rev limiter on it. really sucks

You have a datalogger right? what are your fuel trims? how is your o2 sensor? Pull the plug whire and check the spark, check your plugs to make sure they are gapped properly (if gapped inproperly it could have wierd affects feeling like possible boost cut, different affects warm and cold etc.) Honestly it sounds like it could be more than one thing, especially if you are having to bypass things just to get it started :)

well i got the starting thing fixed. but i am still working on the rest. no class and no work tomorrow so i will be working on the car non stop. will let yall know what i find
