Hello.

i am running a MAFT + safcII combo,
and i want to ball park my maft, and fine tune with the afc2.

I need someone elses working values for similiar modlist, i search and came up with nothing.

evoIII 16g
660cc injector
stock cams exhaust retarded one tooth if it matters.
wallbro 255

thank you.

View my mod list, my settings are as follows AUX=4,BASE=E,IDLE=3,MID=D,WOT=A. STFT at or close to 0 at idle, cruise, mid throttle. Slightly rich WOT with 15 degrees peak timing. :thumb:

Just use the base settings as suggested in the translator instructions, and then just richen the idle 2 clicks or so and you should be pretty damn close. Just curious though ... why are you retarding your exhaust cam a tooth with that turbo??

not by choice really,

bought a fresh built motor and it was like that, didnt want to take the belt off to swap it.

everyone claims it helps it burn cleaner and aslight more power.

what did you maft guys do for an intake pipe? I have an injen intake now, i may just try to modify the filter end to accept the KN

I had an Injen-style intake for the 2g MAS. I took the plate that mounted to the MAS and JB welded it to the intake pipe itself and put my K&N FIPK on the end. Little spray paint and you cant even tell.

BTW, I had my fuel settings at AUX=5,BASE=7. According to the instructions thats for 650's, it ran really lean and would barely hold an idle. Do you have a datalogger to log fuel trims?

I sold my Injen set-up here in the classifieds, and then had a new intake tube made to my specs. There's a member on here by the name of Stapl3. He made mine and only charged $50 shipped. :thumb:

DSMPowerTSi - Was it difficult getting a good tune with this 650's with just the MAFT and logger? I will be using the same set-up this spring. I wasn't sure if I would be needing an AFC or not.....
The MAFT at its best will tune in a ballpark of where your car will be the best at. If you zero out the MAFT and tune with the AFC you'll get a better tune. Promise. Even then the AFC is ballpark, but it's the lesser of two evils.

i have the same setup as lord paxin and i need help tuning my safc2 i wondering if anybody could help me with the high low settings on the safc

well, with by the book default settings the car runs good,
even though i have 450cc, setting the maft for 550cc makes it run better.!! why is this? set at 550cc with idle leaned out 6percent on the afc.

kind of makes me think i got boost leaks, if leaning out the fuel makes it pull harder, with 450cc's
