I've have my johnnyracecar FMIC for three weeks now and still haven't put it on. :shhh:

I'm waiting to fix my FIAV first, then I'll tackled figuring out some piping and getting it put on. It sure looks pretty just sitting on my desk though. :thumb:

Does anyone know if the JRC core can be ordered with the outlet facing the engine so that short route piping could be used like on the dejon tool kit?

alright cool, might not be a pretty install boys .. im too broke for nice pretty pipes, has anyone successfully installed one of these on a 95 - 96 car? was there any fasica hacking that needs to be done to get it to fit? god i hope not .. :talon:

yeah i saw that, but i was hoping you just did it cuz you thought it looked better or something, or it was easier, was there absolutly no way around cutting your fascia?

when you take out the fog lights, you have the skinny post on the inside that the fog light bracket wraps around, then the fat post on the outside. i see you took out both. do you think i could get away with just cutting out the skinny posts and taking out the fog lights and working around the fat posts? sorry to bother you, but you seem to be the only one thats done it

also, you say you used plastic pipes from home depot?

can i keep my stock ps cooler to get this thing to fit?

Here's mine installed. Lovin it :dsm:

Looks good man!

All I think about when I drive my car now is how well this intercooler pulled everything together for me. 15psi with all of the mods I have just didn't do the car justice and I could't go higher without rediculous knock. 18-19psi and 10-15% leaner with the front mount made everything I did worth while! Amazing results for anyone who's still thinking about getting one. And do I need to say it again??? Damn, what a price! :p

Thanks to this thread I ordered one a week ago and got it today. Im rebuilding a turbo 6-bolt and converting the whole 9 yards. Looks like a quality piece, Im excited! Will be an extremely quick car. Stage 1 Head, B16g, FMIC, NT tranny, ACT 2600, O2 Elim Downpipe, 2.5" Catback. :thumb:

well guys i ordered it the other day and got worried this intercooler would not fit in my 95 tsi fascia. tonight i took a cardboard box, and made a exact replica of my soon to be intercooler and installed it on my car. i had to cut on the fascia, but just a little. it turned out awesome. take a look at my pictures - :talon:

I started laughing when I saw this pic... you get points for artiness. You should put the cardboard intercooler on ebay now that you're done with the test fitting, see what you get for it ;).

ROFL  thats funny sheet, put it on there maybe some ricer will take it

im thinking about putting it on ebay but im afraid someone might actually bid on it and ill have to box up, .. a box, and ship it

i finally got my johnnyracecar fmic on today. So here we go, it took me and my freind about 4 days at working 1-3 hours a day. We took the 5mph bumper right off. We flipped the intercooler the the endtanks are facing upwards. They way i was able to keep my foglights and route the pipe above them. There was a small hole we made bigger between the alternator and the window wash container. We took the containter right off. (Who needs window wash these days?) We used the stock hole on the other side of the intercooler and ran hard pipe right from the j-pipe up to the throttle body. I order the bov flange from rre and welding that on to the uicp. Oh, and we also had to remove the passenger side fan. (looking to get a slimline after winter)

johnnyracecar fmic review:

Even though im almost conpletely stock, it made a huge difference. Flows well and the brackets included makes installation a breeze. It comes tripple wrapped and took me about 20 mins to unpack it. It shipped to me in about 3 days. I really have nothing to compare it too since im almost stock and i had massive boost leaks before in the old system. But it made a big big difference. Hot pipe off the turbo outlet and cold cold pipe up to the tb. Very very good price and good product. Very satisfied. Pictures will be up soon!

johhnyracecar is the best! get it soon before the price goes up!

195 shipped? that actually makes me a little nervous
LOL, That's what everyone says. But look at these 9 pages and the only thing "bad" people have to say about this thing is "it doesn't cost enough!" Pay $900 for the Greddy kit if it'll help you sleep better at night I guess.
