okay this is my first turbo car (99 gst stock turbo ). i just bought it, last week i noticed that when im almost at full boost the turbo feels like its accelerating then not , almost like as if i had an on & off switch for the turbo and i kept flipping it on and off.
this only happens if im at full boost so i try to boost as least as possible.
what could this be?
how can i fix this?

:thumb:thnks guys

is there any places here in SD where i can take my car
and have them check/repair the problem?
any recomendations?

Well, are you looking for a 14b or t25?

Have you checked for boost leaks?

Do you feel it boost slower at higher rpm's?

if you are looking for the cheapest possible route you can buy a replacement t25 for cheap but chances are its not your turbo. Have you checked for shaft play?

welli just want to identify the problem, if its just the turbo that needs to be replaced/repaired then id go ahead and do it but i want to know for sure before i buy one and still have this bog at full boost.

should i just go to a shop to diagnose it? if yea witch one

lets meet up at alexs friday approx. 4:00 to diagnose or fix these two issues. its not going to be free to fix, odds are you guys need new gaskets around the throttle body or your hose clamps are blown. alex has a autozone t-minus 5 minutes walking distance too... :hellyeah: and a northgate market with spanish soda lining the shelves! hah

:dsm:

ill be at alexs friday 4:00 sharp, show up if you guys want your cars looked at. pm me or vergetsi for directions there.
