In the midst of putting together my 6 bolt motor.

Keeping it out at my dad's airplane hanger at Front Range for the time being, but it's a royal pain in the ass and I wish I had a spot closer to keep my car.

Anyone have a spot in a shop/garage I could swing it over so when I get this motor done in a week or so I can put it in?

Thanks a bunch for your help/suggestions.

Neither really. Maybe a bit of help assembling the top end of the motor and double checking the timing is correct.

I really prefer to at least have an Eye on everything that is done to the car.
I simply don't trust anyone else working on it with all I've been through.

The last shop didn't put locktite on every bolt on the pressure plate.
And a bunch of shit I took apart was improperly torqued.

Really basic, simple stuff. And when you see you don't have red lock-tite on EVERY(3 didnt!) bolt on the pressure plate, it REALLY pisses you off.

Did you have a problem with the pressure plate? I've never applied loc tite to any clutch I've ever had.

If it moves 7000rpms+ in a circle, I feel significantly more confident with lock tite on the bolts holding the pressure plate together.

If you don't do it on higher HP motors....I guarantee you'll run into issues.
I've heard of pressure plates separating on Big Blocks.....and they'll make a BIG path of destruction spinning apart in the bell housing/tranny.

What's high HP? Most 500+ hp DSM are not reliable enough to be a Daily drivers, I do think it's a good idea! Anything metal to metal, just over kill for a mildly tuned street car.

Myself and my employees all have high HP and high RPM engines and don't have any issues with the PP bolts. Putting Loctite on them can cause problems when you pull them out later and is not needed.

I agree here, its a royal pain to get bolts loose after they have been locked down with loctite. I havent seen or had any problems with bolts coming loose without loctite.
