I'd be down ...
BBQ at my place, I'll provide the burgers, you guys swap my engine.
Really though, we should have ourselves a Spring get-together, and of March to early April - something big we all can plan for. Might just have my car in driveable shape for it, too.

Im a little confused in why you would want ken garff involved. So we can get discounts on highly overpriced oem parts. The only thing I buy from the dealer would be like a timing accessories like a tensioner and belt. Other than that everything I buy is from other vendors.
We def need to get a spring meet set up for late march early april it would be pretty cool.

i always try thinking about things to the maxx why stay at a meeting? when 2 or 3 months from now something really outstanding could be planned something to show utah 's younger automotive scene how organised and competitive some groups of DSM enthusiast are getting. eventually "it will happen" a major hang out that news will broadcast it could be any other brand ,i would like it to be the one i support! thats it just because everybodys nature is "to be better"
i know dude i m a mothaf r and a poet...(just joking). but the biggest question is when and where ?lets make the kick back happen!

Depending on how many people we get I have a pretty large parking lot that we could use after I close up the shop. If you are looking for a hang out or a place to meet up before going to SCCA or MMP.

I agree that you should be the host. Layton is a nice medium for us Ogden folk and Salt Lake Folk.
If the meet were to be held in Layton, you can count me in.

Layton is in the middle, but it's not a big a hang out as State St in Salt City or Washington in Ogden. If we are gonna do this we can put it up on the local dsm board and get a few more guys involved.

Layton Hills Mall has quite the open parking lot, direct freeway access, and a Denny's. Seems like a sweet spot for everyone to me, that is. Could meet up under the flag-pole.
How does Saturday March 31st sound? If we plan this enough in advance, we can have ourselves a good time. I'll post this up on UTDSM.org and get this going, if enough interest is shown.

Thanks for the vote of support, it'd be a pleasure to set something up for the UT guys.

Mmm. Denny's sounds like a good idea. Cars and food = great time.
I will not be caught dead sitting in a parking lot off of Washington Blvd. or State St. though. That just isn't my thing anymore.
So as of right now, the tentative date is March 31st, 2007.
Be sure to update Tuners and UTdsm.org, as I don't frequent UTdsm that much.

I'm down. I'm not gonna lie though, I'm gonna be embarrassed showing up with my 1.8, rust hole, and fart can. (Dangit I need to fix the previous owners mistakes...)

I would totally be down with a meet anywhere. That would be great. Although the 31st is bad for me so I dont know if I can make it to that one. I will be down at mopars at the strip in vegas. When it comes to racing or cruising sorry boys, im going to be behind the wheel of my Charger. But if the date does move to a different weekend I am so there.

Would it be more workable for everyone if we had it the first weekend of April? Say, the 7th? I want this to be enough in advance that we can get a big get-together.
Also, just to throw that out there, being that it is Sunday, the local Speed Street indoor kart racing place has the $40 all-day race special - we could meet up at the mall, get some Denny's, and head out to race, if it's cool with everyone.
kronus, don't worry about the 1.8, I plan on having a buddy of mine from Orem come up in his '94 GS 1.8 [might have seen him around, it's white, exhaust, dropped on the GROUND, decent wheels].
No segregation, no hate. Everyone's welcome, whether you've got the DSM, mom's Galant, or the Toyota minivan.

When is the opening night of RMR? I'm a bit hesitant to push my replacement engine too hard, I need it until I get an OEM 30k rebuild. But I'd still go, nonetheless.
