From the sounds of it Centrix Financial will be building a new road course in the next two years for real cars. But before that track for real cars, Centrix Financial has already finished paper work (after 2 years) to build a top-of-the-line go kart track. The construction begins before the end of the year on the new go kart track.

The road course for the real cars will be built in the next two years and will be the 'best of the best'. After all Centrix Financial will be building it.
The owner of Centrix loves motorsports and since their business is here, the tracks will be built here.
The tracks will be built in Centennial Colorado.

This sounds fairly corporate.....do you have any more info on this? Like what does this mean for the average guy who wants to just take their car out every now and then. Being that the major sponsor for the Denver Grand Prix is building this, it seems like the little guy could still be left out.

The little guy will not be left out. It should be open to the public. Also, from what I gathered from my friend that works there, the owner of Centrix is also building a private track just for him.
Here's the track. It was designed by Alan Wilson.
Here's a link to the website. It just shows go karts right now because that's the first track that's being built.

Go karts? Pffff

I thought you were serious.

Go-kart racing has produced the top F-1 drivers in the world. You are more likely to get a professional ride from being a go-kart champion then in any other form of racing...

If you dont think go-karts are cool, you should drive a full on shifter kart. Hell even the "slow" single speed 125s was an amazing ride. I miss driving karts, its been far too long. I still have the "home" track completly memorized a year and a half later. I even remember every detail of running it backwards. ROFL Its a very intense expeirence, one you have to expierence to understand. :D

I've wanted to move to Colorado for a long time, this just gives me even more incintive. This is very cool imho. :thumb:

Along with building a go kart track, Centrix is planning to also build a road course for cars. Understand?

Well, 2nd Creek was a track for actual cars. Your original post didnt clearly state anything other then a go-kart track (or atleast I over looked it), which doesnt in my mind replace a track for cars.

Glad they are building a road course as well, I cant wait to get out there.

I edited it. :D

The TAG karts (125 direct drive) are just cheaper then the shifters. My friend only races the TAG at little local races and a his shifter at national races.
Here's some pictures of my friends go karts at the Vegas Nationals (thats why he has the flashy body pods). He has a 125 shifter and a TAG.

We already have a Go-Kart track.......This guy could get more business sooner by supplying what we don't have.....a road course designed for cars.

Yea, I agree. But this guy is heading up the Colorado Karting thing, so he says what races are where. So I think he likes go karts more then the real cars. We'll just have to wait.

Info on the road course that will be built can be found on http://www.camplaps.org - we're hoping to see the track ready for spring 2007 for our Rocky Mountain NASA track days.

This track will be much needed since we've lost 2nd Creek, PPIR (which wasn't a great road course anyway), and now maybe even Mead. You guys can be assured I'll be involved in one way or another ;)

Chris, you out did me. I never knew that website existed. Thanks for the link though!
I'm guessing Alan Wilson didn't design this track. He designed the Centrix go kart track, but not the real car track; strange.

Actually, I've heard he will design the road course... but it's probably still speculation at this point. It might have changed since last I heard.

That's nice. Still doesnt change the fact that I dont take a go-kart track seriously.

When you have seen a professional race with karts exceeding speeds of 130 MPH you may have a different opinion. We're not talking back yard Briggs and Stratton go-karting at your local carnaval... Everything has potential... Positivity begets positivity :thumb:
