Performance Touring setups

I was thinking maybe we can run through an exercise where we come up with an "optimal" setup for the Performance Touring classes in NASA. I've been thinking about the possibility of building up a PT car for the 2009 season but I don't know where in PT I'd want to be. Maybe we can put together a few setups and show people where they would be (in terms of points and classing) by throwing together some mod lists for the Performance Touring classes.

Anyone gone through and tried this exercise yet?

I've not been to NASA's website recently, do they have the new rules calculator up and running now?

I know I'm taking a hit for using the maft, gm maf, and a pre-programmed chip.

- Koni shocks/Prokit springs
- RMDSM swaybar
- 2-piston caliper brake swap and race pads
- boost controller
- 17x8 wheels/ 235/40 toyos or nittos
- relocate battery to hatch

- 2.5" turbo-back with ported 2g manifold/O2 housing
- Upper I/C pipe, larger T/B inlet, larger turbo outlet
- Gut the car

- stock tranny or basic rebuild
- ACT or Spec clutch/lightented flywheel
- Megan coilovers or Ground Control/Koni
- RMDSM swaybar
- poly bushings
- rear active toe elimination
- 2-piston caliper brake kit swap if necessary with race pads
- SS brake lines
- battery relocated to hatch
- 17x9 wheels and 255/40 Toyos or Nittos

Level 2 - 1g AWD setup:
- same as above except
- 4-piston caliper big brake kit
- Lexan
- CF or fiberglass hood/hatch

Level 3 - 1g AWD setup:
- same as above except
- JIC coilovers
- aluminum drive shaft
- BB50-trim or GT30R turbo setup
- 850-1000cc injectors

When I get some free time I'll plop those into the calculator and see where it would class people at. The complicated part is calculating weight loss at those points.
