DSM's can make turns just as fast as they drive straight lines!

The race was this past weekend at Button Willow raceway 27 miles north of Bakersfield CA. (3.1 mile 24 turn track). About 150 MPH top speed on the back sweeper.

OMG <3 :thumb:

Does the 209 refer to your area code? I live in Stockton (just moved up to Davis for college).

Looks fun :D

It's my car number in SCCA, NASA, and TCRA that's Touring Car Racing Association.........It beats having to change your number every event.

hey nice car! I remember seeing it at RRE last time :p
just curious, what kind of times are you running at big willow? TCRA had this AWD time trial challenge there a couple weeks ago, not sure if you're in to time trialing, my guess is you'd rather run in the race group .... either way, you gotta come out some time and show them what DSMs can do! :thumb:
here's the results from the event.

the winner of the AWD time trial challenge was this sweet looking WRX. he was doing about the same times as the 2 WRX race cars in the GT group (I think you probably know them too, Emil and Pascal). I couldn't run because of an oil leak  ... not like I could beat him anyway LOL, I think I was doing something like 1:42s on Azenis tires when I took the school last time. havent got timed since I got the A032Rs

Last time I ran Willow Springs my best time was around 1:30 but you have to remember I'm running on 275/45-16 Hoosiers. That's a lot of rubber on the road that translants into a bit more confidence around turn 9. I do know Emil, he's a clean racer.

The Mazda super 7's. (tube frame, fiberglass bodied RX-7s), and a 500HP totally race built Mustang!

That Mustang's running Super Unlimited also isn't he? Did he keep it on the track?

This particular car looked to be built for the Trans Am series. It ran the the 3 hour night enduro in solid form. On race day on Sun it went on a off track excurtion I think about lap 4, it sat way off in the sand until the race was over.

Speaking of Trans-AM..........you going to Long Beach next weekend for the Gran Prix? I'll go on Friday for sure.

hey would anyone be interested in doing an event with TCRA? the next one is may 29-30 at big willow. they have a race group but I dont think its pro though. still, it'd be nice if some other DSMs showed up! ;)

btw, if anyone else here is interested in running the time trials or school, if we have at least 10 cars (not counting me because I do black flag and registration for them) to go there's a huge discount for the group. I forgot how much the discount is, but I'll find out and post it here.

I think I'm running the TCRA race group at Fontana in June
