Well my car is leaking coolant and it is coming from underneath the camshaft( cam angle) sensor. Could someone please inform me of what problem might be. I don't know if there is a seal or gasket around the camshaft sensor. I am really worried that I might have a cracked head or something.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Ease,

There is a hose right there, I think that has something to do with the heater. You might want to see if that hose is getting rotted on the end. This happens a lot. Also, I am not sure if this is on the 90 throttle body, but there might be two hoses going to it. Can you not pinpoint where you see the water flowing from?

I had this problem before and it was a tiny tiny pinhole in one of the heater hoses. It was spraying up under the camshaft angle sensor. I just replaced the hose.

However, now i have another mysterious leak in almost the same place, and its not the hoses. Unfortunately it looks like the head gasket is blown....

Well I thought it was the thermostat housing gasket; either the one on the head or the one that touchs the thermostat, but as soon as I cranked up the car coolant started to come out directly beneath the Cam Angle (Camshaft ) sensor.

I will go back tomarrow and see if I can't put my hand up under the camshaft sensor to feel where the leak is coming from.

Maybe I should take off the Cam Angle Sensor to get a better look at it.

Thanks for the advice......anymore advice would be great.

thanks.

Ease,

Prob your heater hose. Last week i was adjusting my mbc and i busted a huge hole in my heater hose for no reason. Thought i f****d sumthin up hardcore, but turns out just a heater hose. I cut it and pulled it farther, easy fix.

I found the problem...it was a tiny pin-hole in the heater core hose coming from the firewall. It was spraying coolant up underneath the Cam angle sensor.

Anyways, thanks for all the advice and help.:thumb:
