Just got car back and a few questions

Ok, I just got my car back, because my timing belt went and chewed every valve, along with putting a hole in the head and in the piston.. I had the piston and rod replaced along with a new head, all gaskets, water pump, you name it, it was replaced.. Anyway.. Before this all happened my idle was a rock solid 600 rpm.. since this happened my car seems to miss a little at idle and my idle fluctuates between 600 and 1200.. I tried messing with the idle screw but it will speed up or slow down the idle and doesnt help the fluctuating.. the thing that confuses me is that none if this was present before this happened.. it idled without missing or sputtering and the idle was rock solid and did not fluctuate.. So if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it!

my old talon used to do the same thing, it had like the worst sputter and the worst idol, from what i have heard, it's likly a leak somewhere. get a boost leak tester, or make it yourself, someone is selling them from www.dsmtrader.com for like 20 bucks.

Can anyone help me out?? I think the surge is the IAC, but im still lost on the miss fire or sputter.. anyone?
