I had my check engine light come on and hooked up the tester to it, it gave me a code saying O2 sensor-Bank 1 Sensor 1. Does these mean my O2 sensor is bad, and if so, which one, the one in the O2 housing or the one in my downpipe.

This happened after I swapped my O2 housing, turbo and manifold, all to the EVO III set up. What's the deal?

you can check by geting a meter and check the 02 sending wire this is the same one you use for seting up a afr gauge and if it bad you should be getting shittig gas milege because when they go bad they run rich to be safe

For one thing, I know my car is running rich as hell. You can see the exhaust and smell it too. Also, I have the apexi turbo timer and I have it tapped into the wire from the O2 sensor. When i start it up and for about 5 minutes while driving, the O2 sensor voltage on the turbo timer is flashing red. I don't think it used to do that, but i can't be certain, cuz i usually am only using it for a countdown timer. But then after that 5 minutes, then it starts reading a voltage. Is this normal? I guess I will probably just go ahead and replace it anyways, i'm sure it can't hurt anything to have a new one in there, just hate to have to drop another 100 bones for it when i'm trying to save up for my 660's.

also, I put another post on here about my car backfiring at high rpms, 5500-6500 rpms when i was doing highway pulls with a vette. I got a couple replies and they said that I was running too rich and the backfire was due to the unspent fuel that made it's way into the exhaust, then ignited due to the heat, so if this is correct, plus what you are telling me, my problem is the O2 sensor and i'm running rich as hell because it is bad. Thanks and any more info from any one else would help too, keep it coming guys.
