This morning my GSX did not start. It turns over fine but does not actually turn on. The battery is fine as is the starter. I looked over everything under the hood and everything looks fine. I am thinking it may be my fuel pump. About a week ago it started with the "hard starting"...I had to crank it over about 4-5 times before it started. It would turn on for a split second after about 2-3 revolutions and then die. It did this about 4-5 times before it started and idled fine. This morning it would not start at all. Is there a way to check the fuel pump? Or what do you guys think it could be? I need this resolved by Monday so any help is appreciated, thanks.

The Haynes manual has instructions for testing the fuel pump. There's a test terminal on the firewall, but I don't remember where. Other common problems that might make the car not start are bad temp sensor and ECU caps. I actually had a fuel pressure solenoid go bad and prevent my car from starting once.

Well went out this evening to try and test the fuel pump...I decided to try and crank it just to see what happened. Darn thing started right up. What the hell? I should say that it rained Monday-Friday last week. Perhaps something got watered down but what? I pulled and eyeballed the plugs (NGKs)and they look perfect. Plug wires are new...I couldnt find any vac leaks...what could this be? I am afraid it may leave me stranded and I have to pick up my daughter from school each day. What do you guys think...thanks again.
