HOLE in MY N1 DP

UNBELEIVEABLE.

Driving around latley i've noticed a hissing exhaust leak accompanied by turbine noise. ick. I took a look at the DP APexi N1 GT (catless) and I found that the weld attaching the bracket that bolts the DP to the motor just under the Turbo has broken./ kinda peeled off! Has anyone else had this issue with N1 Dp's. Its been on the car for over a year. As a quick fix... Can JB WELD patch that up? I know that bracket is there to prevent wear on the flex section but once I get this patched up I doubt i'll be reattaching it. bleh

hmmm,
how long have you had the DP and are you sure you didnt drag it on someting and stress the weld?

if not, take some pics and contact Apex'i they might set you up, if its manufacturer defect.

jbweld is pretty good stuff, i dont know what the temp of it is, but they do sell muffler cement, any autpart store will have it,

Damn ya know I think I just realized how it happened. I've got my muffler set up so I can slip the POS off the tailpipe in a jiffy, (good for Autox's and @ drag races or when I get bored an want to go out @ scare ricers.) when I first set it up it was a little tight I kicked/whacked it back into postion pretty hard a few times . I imagine thats what compromised the weld.

The JB weld didn't hold. I"ve used some awsome muffler cement before, i'll be picking some up tommorow. If not I have a buddy that'll weld it back together for me...
