I had my hood up to replace my spark plugs and my car is running like crap so I was looking at all the tubes and stuff to see if anything was real loose or anything (I'll do boost leak test later) and I saw this green crap all over this tube...(see attached pics). Is this bad? Anyone know what it is? Coolant maybe?

Edit: Problem 2....I also noticed this

This is what holds the engine in place and it doesn't look right to me. Can anyone verify this?

Looks like coolant, but what hose is that? Where is it coming from/going to?

Maybe that last one will help...I was still adding pics when you replied. I can get more if they'll be helpful

You need to replace you lower radiator hose and do a cooling system flush. What you see around the hose is coolant, rust, and calcium deposits. What happens is that minerals in the water collect at these points and builds up between the aluminum housing and the hose. You need to drain your coolant, pull off the hose and scrape the deposits off of the aluminum housing and replace the hose & coolant with demineralized water. The hose will be no good because the buildups will have caused indentations inside the hose where water can leak from. Add a bottle of super flush & water the rad. Repeat flush with demineralized water until you see clean (ie. no rust) water coming out.:thumb:

Thanks alot. I guess I'll go to Home Depot tomorrow to look for a hose and replace it and clean out the radiator. Thanks for the help....if you feel like helping me anymore you can check out this thread too, LOL

EDIT: Please look at first post towards the bottom... I added 2 new pics and it looks as if its sitting loose or wrong or something. Not sure if it is supposed to look like that or not.

Why don't you get the hose from a dealer? I got mine from a Chrysler dealership for $13. This way it os properly sized and has the bends in it already.

Yeah I guess that is a good idea, haha. You wouldn't happen to have the part number for it would u? (Me thinking this is the time when I would need a Chiltons)

For the second problem, it is you motor mount and it needs to be changed. The motor mount usely lasts the life of the car. But most of the they need to be replaced if the car has been in a big accident.

Well carfax showed nothing but that doesn't mean anything...I just got the car a week ago. Wonder how that happened. It's running real bad now. It runs fine till about 3k rpms then it like starts to bog out. Hopefully my turbo isn't bad and it's just a boost leak or something :(.

Check plugs and wires for your bogging problem. Check for boost leaks if you haven't. Make sure to get new hose clamps for your coolant system. :thumb:

Good job hope that cures your bogging. I had one fouled SP and that threw me off. Till I replaced all 4 and the car ran like a champ!
As for the motor mounts check to see if your other motor mounts have been damaged don't forget there's one underneath the front radiator.:dsm:

Well it didn't really help but I think it made a little difference. My Check engine light was on before the spark plugs and AutoZone said it was a MAF Sensor in range but higher than expected" whatever that means. Of course my light is off now since the battery was unplugged, but it hasn't come back on yet. Hopefully it won't and hopefully I can fix my car up so it at least runs as good as it should.

Well they the 7's are in and it is running good. Well not running good, having the same problems I've been having but I think these new plugs and wires helped a little bit. As far as stock goes, you're right I am but I plan on adding a K&N FIPK soon (if that counts) and a 1G BOV and some other minor stuff...LOL :)

I changed out both the upper and lower radiator hoses today and flushed the system with water once and right now there is a cleaner in there that I'm supposed to drive with it in for about 3-6 hours. So maybe tomorrow I'll flush it out again with water until I see nothing but water coming out then put in the new coolant/water.

As far as the engine mount goes, I bought a new one, but haven't replaced it yet.
