ok so im installing my walbro 190, and one of the 6 studs that attaches the fuel pump assembly to the tank snapped ( i torqued it too much :thumbdown ). i am running un-tuned right now and under wot, it is rich up until about 6300 rpm and then between there and redline, it runs lean and i get TONS OF KNOCK!

I am begining to think that there is a leak of presure in the fuel tank, which is making it so that in the upper rpms, fuel is struggling to get into the combustion chamber. it feels similar to a misfire, but im almost 100% positive that that is not the problem.

let me know what you guys think!

A hole or a leak in the tank wouldn't cause a loss of fuel pressure. The pressure is all in the lines after the pump. You could dunk a pump in a bucket of gas and still get good fuel pressure. You may have timing or boost or fuel tuning issues, re-check all those things.

Do you log any of these runs? Are you still using a SMIC and stock intercooler pipes? Lastly, why are you even reving past 6300 out of curiosity because the cams and valve train wont really make any power up there to begin with.

edit its inches of vacuum by the way bro, can have psi:thumb:

ok yah, 19-20 inches of vacuume, thanks. shouldnt i be around 22-23?

i am only revving this high because i want to show on my mmcd log where i am getting issues with some sort of misfire or fuel issue. i cannot get my palm n stein software to work with my computter, so i cant send any logs.

is ther a way for you guys to view my log on the computer using mmcd, or do i have to look at my palm, and type in the info (which i dont want to do but most likely will).

i am just getting into the tuning aspect of everything now, and im learning alot on the way.

i would go into details about my log, but im at school and i don have my pocketlogger here.

thanks

ok here is my log of 2nd gear, going from 1500rpm to 6500 at 17lbs:
