i have a 98turbo eclipse. it is new. i just got the oil changed in it. the oil pressure seems to be really low when its just at idle. is this normal? i used to have a 1g stealth. it had low oil pressure all the time and the 3si guys, said that that was normal for the stealth/3k cars. i have searched and am unable to find out if this is the same with dsm's or not. if it matters, i got the oil changed with fully synthetic oil. thanks.

I think that in the Chilton manual it says that under 3k rpm or at idle the needle will be somewhere in the first section (of three) of the gauge readings (stock gage!). When driving around ( or possible over 3k rpm) the needle should be right around the middle of the gage.

I was having a little bit of a problem with my car doing the same thing, and I just got under the car and played around with the wires and it worked fine. You may just try that out and see if you just have a loose connection. The wires will be real close to the oil filter.

Play with that and see if it helps:thumb: !
