I have a 90 eclipse gst, I cant get spark... I replaced the plugs, wires, ignition coil, ignition module, crank position sensor and the ECU. the CPS and the ECU came out of my 90 AWD TSi, everything else is brand new... I cant figure it out. Any suggestions? Email [email protected]

What were the reason(s) which caused you to replace all those items? I'm not a DSM expert but have read the ECUs are quite specific to year and model. Do you have a CE code flashing? Have you checked the fuses, any pinouts on the harness?

Ok, good reason. :) If you don't have a manual you really need one so you can paw through the circuit diagrams. You need power to the ECU, signal from CAS, fuel, oil pressure bypass circuit continuity (cranking mode) to mention a few. Sometimes it easier to trouble shoot a failed light which leads to a bad harness connector and repairs the main fault at the same time. You have relays and fuses which must be working, the fact those parts mentioned were missing it's logical to think he may have borrowed and substituted a failed part.

Are you sure you got the CAS in the right way though I don't know that would prevent spark?

There is nothing like a good test light and multi-meter, the test light is quick and you don't need to look at it to read a value. Temp sensors etc. have specific values and only a multi meter will do the jub.

Sorry I can't get more specific but these are thing you must establish for yourself.
