clickclickclick sproing. now my ebrake doesnt work.
ive done some researching online, and from what i understand there are 3 cables.
one from arm to equalizer, and 2 from equalizer each to one of the rear wheels.
is there a way of troubleshooting which cable might have gone?
my brother had this problem over the summer on his car (93 celica gt) and his manual says that one side of the ebrake holds the car from rolling forward, and the other backward. im sorry but that seems rather retarded, wouldnt they both just hold the wheel..?
(if this is the case, with the brake up, car will roll both ways) there is also no tension when i pull it now. none.
i was poking around whilst searching on here a minute ago, and someone had this problem and someone suggested adjusting the cable under the cup holder
kinda useful link
i was talking to my physics teacher about this, the day after it happened since hes really intelligent, and he studied automotive engineering anyway. he disagreed with my brothers theory, and said that since i heard the noise, it was likely the one from arm to equalizer.
thanks in advance; thanks a lot.
p.s. turbos love the cold air outside. holy craap.
