HeLp..Car Dies after BOOST

Okay guys heres the situation......i have a 97 GSX runnin the T25. Lately if i hit the gas then let off and go to neutral the RPMs will drop severly low to like sometimes 300 rpm and then bounce back up. Today I was driving and when i hit the gas for a second the engine sounded funny and boost gauge stopped atl ike 12 then shot up to 18 then when i let off the gas the rpm's dropped FAST and the car stalled at 60mph on the highway.

When i got home i found oil on the lower ic pipe and I found that the turbo does have shaft play. My question is, can a bad turbo cause the car to die after boosting? I figure that it can but ive never heard of it and i wanted to know so that i can go ahead and buy a turbo to fix the problem or if there was something else that needed to be fixed. nope im not venting the bov........if my turbo was bad would it even cause the car to die like that or does it really have nothing to do with the turbo?

yeah it can cause your car to die. I was driving on the freeway and my IC pipe blew off and my car came to a crawl. Luckliy I carry my tools and it was a simple matter of tightening the strap.

I bet your car drives "ok" when your not boosting right? But the moment you go WOT it dies right?

actually the car is fine until after i boost...like if i do a 2nd gear pull through the pull it seems fine but if i put it in neutral and let off the gas the car dies the rpms drop FAST and then it stalls...........thanks for your help.....i just wentoutside and checked the lower ic pipe....the upper ic pipe and the intake pipe and all seem fine though

your turbo is blowing oil in when your boosting that why your car want to stall when you let off the gas
but when your off boost it run fine
check if their a cloud of smoke every time you shift
then it a bad turbo

Im having the same issue, car idles rough when cold then when I hit boost and come to a stop the car dies...
