Edmonton,
i have a bunch of oil where my spark plugs are, not sure if there on my spark plugs cause i havent checked yet... but there in the area where the spark plug wires are. whats the prob?

There are little gaskets around those holes that need replaced. While you are at it you might as well just replace the valve cover gasket. When you go to buy one make sure you ask for the spark plug ones otherwise you will just get the main valve cover one.

Its either that or your oil cap leaking.

ok if i understand correctly, it sounds like your saying there is oil resting on the valve cover, the middle part where the plug wires kinda run along. If that's the case, u might have a cracked valve cover that is leakin oil. if so, u can just find the crack and throw some JB WELD on there and it'll hold

well yeah, there just in that big empty area where the spark plug wires go into the spark plugs, it may be the gaskets because i changed my lifters and it was like one always wanted to slide off when i on.

So you used the old gaskets? Did you use a bit of RTV on the gaskets when you re-installed and did ya tighted the bolts to spec? They dont need to be that tight but to loose and they could leak obviously. Careful ya dont tighten them to much or you might crack the valve cover.;)

i dont think i cracked the valve cover... but if i did what disadvantages are there? and no i did not use rtv. looks like im taken off my valve cover again in a few months, once it warms up. are new once expensive?

Look for a new one from the dealer with spark plug gaskets to be about $25. Probably cheaper at any autoparts store. Tube of RTV is about $4. All prices U.S. of course. Just make sure you clean the valve cover and mating surface to the head when you take it apart. Put the new gaskets in the grooves and apply a thin layer of RTV to the mating side of the gaskets.
