stock oil pressure gauge

k im a little confused with my stock oil pressure gauge? what should it read at idle, and while driving? i always thought it should read between the two ticks? someone please help me here, because mine rises as i drive but it only gies to the first tick.

the needle should be between the two tick marks. if its below, then check your oil level, u could just be low on oil

It should rise a little bit but could still be below the lowest mark at idle. While driving it deff should be between the marks. If it is not you need to check the sending unit. If that tests good chances are you have a bad oil pump.
