420a -ECU Codes

Been to vfaq.com to try to resolve an engine light problem.... They say to Turn key on-off-on-off-on and count the blinks to get the trouble code... Only one problem, it never blinks, it sits there for about 5 sec then turns off. But sure enough when you start the car the light kicks on. And when I bought this car it didn’t have an owner’s manual for it. (Looking for 96 Talon ESi Owners Manual) And most of us don’t have a scan tool. The blink code display thing is only for Talon 420a (or Neon) cars, but For some odd reason I cant get it to work.. Something I’m forgetting? Oh, yea I checked my fluids.

i have a gs and the i did the on-off on off deal and it worked on mine..
did you do it like 6times......

Well, after trying On-Off-On-Off-On , i started going crazy on it... And yea its running fine, but lights lead to problems, so i want to fix it right away cuz I like having a running DSM

you could maybe take it to autozone have them read the codes if they could..
otherwise your going to have to go to the dealer or someshop..
