help 1g talon rev. problem

:cry: help me!
I Have a 91 talon turboed.
anyway i had to swich head because i warped the one. so after i put the car back toghether it started to rev out or break up at about 45k. what could be the problem with it. i have use up all the references that i had. so any help would be great!

First things that can make it break up at higher revs..plugs,wires,and coilpacks.It was old coilpacks in my car.

Next would likely be the old boost leaks.Check out car for those.

And then something bad with the fuel system like failing pump would make it not want to rev either.


And of course assuming your basic timing and cam timing is correct.
 
what is the best way to check 4 boost leaks?
it will rev. all the way to 7k but it starts to break up at 45k. all the timming is good. i checked it twice. it has new plugs and wires. and a used coil pack. i hope its not that. becuase those F'ers are pricey.

You can buy one from Mach 5 or make one from the faqs.Just went to local hardware type store and made mine.fenco 2 inch to 2 inch coupler and cap that fit into it and drilled in a tire valve.Thats it.Then pump it up with even a big pump although a compressor or portable air tank works the best.I found one huge leak where the intercooler upper outlet was corroded.

Thats common problem on 1gs.I used jb weld to fix that.Might still have a few more leaks mabye try it again shortly or get adapter for my compressor.Just haven't bought any accessories or even hoses for my new compressor yet.

My car would rev to redline though with the boost leak problem.It woudn't rev wot when the coil packs were bad.It woud just go up there when you went wot and would make this kinda weird machine gun sound.Guess it was massive misfiring.And yeah the coilpacks are pricey as heck.Think cheapest seen them was like 185 US. I lucked out and got mine for real good price.214 canadian plus taxes but they are not oem mits coipacks but really don't care.
 
i will try and make one. i just got a new welder for xmas.

i think it is more of an electric problem. becuase i lost two sets of head lights when they were one and i rev the car up. first they flashed relly bright then blew out. after the seconed set i replased the alternater becuase i thoungt that it was the voltage regulater. but it still dose it.

this sucks because i cant drive my baby!!!!!
