Well, my life story, the day b4 i order my N20 kit, i think my car is messed up. Last night i got the bright idea of trying to top my car out on the highway back to my house. I was at about 125 mph and my oil light faintly flashed on. That slowed me down in a hurry. I was just getting into town, when it came on again, but this time constant. so i shut it off and coasted into a gas station. I checked my oil 3 times and it was just right below the max line. I turned the engine back on and the light was gone. So i started to drive home, figuring it was ok cause the light was off and my oil level was ok. The light came on constant 3 more times on the way home, and i shut the car off for a few minutes each time. Someone please tell me wtf is going on. Im p*ssed cause im sure whatever it is will cost lots of $$$ and i wont be able to order my N20 kit.

Most of all though, i dont wanna shell my engine, and when the oil light comes on that usually a REALLY bad thing. Please offer any advive ASAP, as ill need to get this fixed today and dont wanna drive it anymore with the light on. all help is appreciated

Peace

First of all - Credit to you for taking this seriously, Secondly the odds are it's NOT serious - The Low Oil Pressure idiot light sending units are notoriously fragile (use the special socket when installing a new one) - the wires & connectors go bad (they are in a helluva high stress spot) - Check your Oil Filter gaskets for signs of failure - All those weaknesses can manifest themselves on your littke "high speed run"... Good Luck & be careful.

i bought the oil pressure sender today under the advice of a mechanic, but am having a terrible time finding its location. any advice on where to look would be appreciated.

I'd rather a 2G NT guy kick in here but mine is behind the Driver Front Inner wheel well cover hanging off the back of the Oil Filter Housing - yours may be somewhere else on the Oil Filter Housing - pix in my Gallery - you can barely get a glimpse of it from the engine side - some car ramps come in handy & USE THE SPECIAL SOCKET.
