well this is it. i did that thing to make mine blink and give me codes. ya well i did that and now i am stuck with it blinkin and not knowing what it means or hwo to decode it.

it blinks once a second pause then again pause again blinks pause again then 5 times with about a .25 second pause then a second pause then blinks that 5 times again. either i am way off on telling it or how do you read them

If you dont have a scantool (datalogger) then you could always head down to your local autoparts store (ie: Major chain - autozone,ect.) Most of them will pull your codes for free...

Actually I don't think he is using the voltmeter, I think he was using the blinking CEL method decribed in http://www.allpar.com. In my experience it works with 95 Talon ES and 95 Eclipse RS's. But only those for some odd reason. It might be some quirk with the 420A engine and the ECU that they used for it at the time.

By the way, you can get the what the blinks mean by checking that sight as well. 55 (or two blinks of 5) with nothing before it means that there are no error codes. 55 is also signifies the end of any stored codes.
