cam sensor please help

Hey guys helping a friend put in a motor in his eclipse it is a 96 like mine but he bought a 98 model motor ,prob is how to wire up the cam sensor.I know they are different ,but do u wire it like a 6 bolt and the sme with the wires? thanks......

i assoume that means his motor he bought was complete with head?
97+ cas's are diff from 95-96...im not to sure if there are 3 wires or not on a 95/96. If all else fails ya can do a 1g cas.

Yes, there are three wires on the 95-96 CAS.

then i would think he could be able to just wire it up as there are
3 on a 97+ cas

I tried that and it didnt work.We might have to go and get a 1g cis
