speedo going crazy

my speedo will go up normal and it will just drop from 60 to 40 then go back up, or drop 5mph and kinda jump up and down there then come back

what do i need to replace to fix it

I was planning on getting the cable from machv but i wasnt sure if there was any other things that could cause it to do that. I thought there may be a sensor that the cable plugs into that goes bad.

ill just snag a cable and give it a shot, where does that cable run to and from

Back of speedo to transmission I think.

It's a DSM. Of _course_ it's a pain in the ass. It's not a flaw, it's a characteristic. DSMs have character. The fu(kers.
