too much boost...

i have done nothing to alter my boost level on the car, its a 95 tsi awd, and i thought they run about 8-9 lbs stock, im hittin 13 without a boost controller. i have a dejon tool intake and a autometer boost gauge, so i dont know why i would be running 13 lbs boost, any suggestions?

well the cars run about 10-11 psi bone stock and just freeing up the filter would yield a psi or 2. just wait til you put full exhaust on it (turbo back) you'll prob run 15 psi. by the way i sell turbo back apexi exhaust for 740 shipped for your car and i have it in stock. lemme know if your interested
