I just put my injen intake, and hks ssqv bov recirculated on my car. The car ran ok for a day then the check engine light came on all of a sudden. I went to autozone and the the engine codes that the computer is sending out is a p0 170 fuel trim malfunction (bank 1), the other code is p1500 vehicle speed idle control aux's inputs. I also removed the honey combs in the mafs. The car runs ok sometimes but when i give it gas it kind of stumbles or hesitates then accelerates. any input would help thanks

Yes, that would be a problem.

The car will run much better if the ECU has a vaguely accurate idea as to how much air is being injested.

Why do people do stuff to their car without knowing what the mod does?

(That was rhetorical.)

For the same reasons DSMs are so unreliable.

(That was sarcastic, ascerbic, rude, arrogant, and outright uncalled-for so damned close to Christmas. So sue me.)

LOL. . funny but true, though (knock on wood) mine is pretty damn reliable.

Anyway the problem may or may not be the honeycomb, Mine is not there (I didn't do it just FYI) it came like that from the guy I bought it from, and yes it does leave my check engine light on, but it runs fine, check and see if something came unplugged or fell off, if you did that already, replace the parts you just took off and see if it goes away (the rough running problem, not the light, hat may be yours forever) though a 1/32 drill bit will fix that. . hehehe.

yeah i removed both honeycombs, but i unplugged the battery and reset the computer and now the light went off. But it still stumbles, sputters when I romp on it so i don't know i need to get a logger so i can get a better picture of whats going on. thanks for everyones input. I just got pluggs and wires i'm going to put them in and see if that helps
