Running Rich....

My 95 GST seems to be running rich and I have no idea why. The a/f guage is working fine, and the last time the o2 sensor went out, it stopped working. But you can smell gas especially when you first start it up and there seems to be alot of black stuff on the rear bumper and on the tip of the exhaust. It doesnt burn oil at all. It seems to have started recently. Could it be cold weather? I just started using Mobil 1 full synthetic 10w-30. Spark plus and wires are 15k miles old. Car runs fine and I dont have the money to get a logger or anyone that has one. Any ideas?? stock turbo, still has cat. I/ICP/E & BOV only......

Do a full tune up, illminates the small issues.

My 97 GST has been running rich since the end of this summer and drinks gas like a V8. I haven't had time to change the O2 sensors on mine.

Did changing the O2 sensors on yours make a big difference on you car?

i didnt drive my car when the o2 sensor was bad because i noticed it on my a/f ratio guage....

the thing is with my situation, I still get good gas mileage, or what I have always gotten...
