Ok, so i noticed there was some black soot on my heat sheild and on my turbo and surrounding areas from the number 4 cylinder. My best guess is that its a blown gasket. So my next question is, if it is a blown gasket will there be a loss of boost? I'm pretty sure there is and if not i have a boost leak somewhere cuz i wasnt boosting much today, it kinda felt like fuel cut......later

Not when i first start it up but now that I think about it, lastnight when i was out driving i heard a tick. It kinda sounded like a rattle from inside the car toward the front of the dash(closest to the motor) but i couldnt find it maybe thats what it was. OR are u refering to the pcv valve?

If it was really leaking that bad you would probably hear a tick if you start the engine when its cold before the manifold expands. Either way it is a good idea to replace the gasket. If you still notice a lack in power check for boost leaks.
