ok so here is the problem, i'll fire up my car it will run fine idle at 1200rpm at first settle down to 900rpm... and some times not all the time, i'll drive it for 5 minutes and pull to a light push in the clutch and the engine just dies ... it has a fresh rebuilt engine in it less then 1000 miles on it... i'll have to crank it for like a minute on and off before it starts up again then when it does it runs normal ... i have good oil pressure and its runnin at a good temp... any ideas????

Does your car have a clutch pedal switch? You might want to check this circuit and the adjustment.

Not true on some cars for once they start they have a timer that allows restart without the clutch pedal press. I don't see the relationship between pushing on the clutch at a stop and it starts to run ragged and dies. Unless you have a seized T/O bearing loading the engine down.

Does it die when the clutch _is_ not pressed?

push the clutch in .... as in i let the engine come down fro higher RPM to idle .....the clutch has nothing to do with it

I'm trying to figure out if it has to do with the fact the car is in motion coming up to a traffic light. and / or if sitting at a light you push the clutch in to engage a gear that it will die. ??
