Bouncy Idle since Head Swap

Hi guys,

Since doing a headswap my car no longer maintains a decent idle. When I cold start in the morning and as long as there is no load on the engine the idle will stay great. Now when the motor warms up or as soon as I put a load on the engine it will start to bounce. It will bounce from 1400 to 1800rpms. I can't figure it out!

Any ideas? I messed w/ my BISS screw and that only made things worse.

My two guesses:

Bad or dirty Throttle Position Sensor, you can take it off and clean it and maybe that will help, or it could be bad. Other guess, what kind of cams are you using? Are they stock? If they are aftermarket, they may be the reason for a choppy idle. Hope that helped...

Yes, pretty much everything on the head is stock.

ok, here's an update. My car still has a weird idle but I noticed that when I come to stop if I turn on my A/C then the idle will stop bouncing but it will still idle high (1600rpms).

So for the time being whenever I come to a stop I just turn on my A/C until the light turns green again. Does this sound like an obvious problem to anyone else?

I have same problem...my car bounces from say 1000-1400 all the time now after redoing head. Also my a/c well umm...when i turn mine on...my car stalls out , that aight good
