I am timing my car cause I just put a 1g head intake and tb on and so I have the 1g cas. When we went to time the car it will only go down to 15 btdc. and as I have heard I should be less then 5 btdc right? Well I NEED help so please write back.

That is weird. If you can't adjust your CAS anymore then your timing belt may be off. Do you have a vacuum gauge? Whats it at? Anywhere between 15-20 doesn't indacate any problems but anything less will change your timing. Well anything less shows that your timing may be off. That, or you have a terrible manifold leak somewhere.

No because when you adjust the CAS the ECU automatically compinsates for the timing change...so adjusting the CAS doenst do anything until you ground a certain sensor...that I cant think of right now....to keep the ECU from doing that while you time it with a light gun. All the info is in the link.

Well I read the instructions on that page and it helped but I am still jhaving a problem. I needed to make it idle at aroiund 750 +-100, well I got it to do that but I cant find the wire that I need to ground out on my 2g so that I can time it right. It says that without the wire grounded the timing should be like 8 deg. Well with no wire grounded I get right around 8 deg. But I have the cas turned all the way and that doesnt make any sense. I am going to get the pocket logger out todey to see if I can figure it out. Since the 2gs didnt come with the adjustable cas I dont know if it has the grounding wire. so if oyu have any ideas that would be great. Another problem that I am know haveing is that when I turned the boost up to like 17 it was fine a couple of times but know when I boost it goes to like 13 and really seems like there is a problem. I am no expert but I am thinking that that was detonation. it only does this when I boost high. The car also seems to take a year and a day to spool up. I just put 2.5" piping on for the ic. do you guys think that that is too big for a frank 19c? it is really annoying. I have an o2 dump and when I am in 5th gear it doesnt even open as if I am not getting enough boost to even activate the wastegate. The boost gauge is saying that I am getting very little boost in 5th like 10. Thanks
