I've had this problem since I bought the car. When I flip on the brights, theres nothing there and the lights just go off. My normal lights work fine, but the brights just dont exist. I've tried hooking up a new headlight, but with the same results, so I know its not the lights themselves. Is there a fuse somewhere that I dont know about, or anything else?
thanks, Andy

The owners manual has fuse diagrams. Follow it to the fuse.

Are there bulbs installed? Do they work?

Next, inspect the harness.

Some vehicles have multiple fuses for the headlights. It's possible to have up to four fuses in some newer vehicles. One for low right, one for high right, one for low left, and the last for high left. I suspect that an older car like yours would only have two at most. Check the fuses under the hood and, if equipt the fuses under the dash.

After that I would want to have a wiring diagram in order to track the power and grounds for the headlights. It could be a number of things if the fuses and headlights are good.
