Any way to bypass dimmer switch?

I somehow burned my dimmer switch out, and i need a new one. Unless it's possible to just bypass it so my dash lights will work again.

But...If i get indiglo gauges, will that solve the problem, since it comes with a dimmer switch? But would that make the HVAC lights work too? please help, thanks

If I remember correctly, there're three (3) wires that run to the circuitry of the dimmer switch. One is +12v, one is ground, and the third is the output that goes to all of the dash lights. . . and I BELIEVE it's actually a lower voltage than the +12 that's going in (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), so I really don't see a way to bypass the dimmer without risk of burning some stuff out.

As for getting some indiglows, you're correct about them working off of their own dimmer switch. (Not to whore the thread, but I've got set that I'm selling if you're interested, just PM me).

Back from the dead...

Just completed this clean up on my 1G.

Dimmer bypass = Connect Black to Black/Yellow
Hazard bypass = Connect Green to Green/Orange
Pop Up Headlight Bypass = Connect Blue/White to Blue/Black

All three switches can be removed and the remaining wires need to be capped or taped.

Back from the dead...

Just completed this clean up on my 1G.

This dosnt help the OP or 2G guys since this was about a 95 NT.
