So, everytime i get on it a little and have to slow down for whatever reason (stoplight, grandma crossing the road, ect) my car dies. I can watch the RPM's just drop. Occassioally it will go far enough to turn all the engine lights on, but then pops back up enough to keep it running, however more often then not the car dies. I have been told i may be the MAF, but someone discounted that idea saying it would be having more problems then just that and the check engine light would be on. Another comment was that it may be due to my nonrecirculating bov. Do either of these hold any truth, and if not any other ideas of what i could check/replace?

If i disconnect my recirculating BOV (to hear it blow off) and plug the end to try and seal the air flow. the car will die on me when coming to a stop and idles like shit. after a while it won't even start. when i attach the recirculating tube agian it runs just fine. so if anyone has the key to doing that mod it would be greatly appriciated to put it here on this thread. :thumb:

I am assuming that my problem as well as yours IS the nonrecurculating bov. Is there any quick fixes for this until i am able to afford a new bov? And why the heck would they make a nonrecurculating bov if it is just going to make your car die?
