Screeching Pwr Steering

My steering will start screeching if the wheel is turned all the way to the left or right. i think it's a belt but could it be anything else? As far as i can see there is no leak or anything either.

ahhhhhh yes, i had this exact problem. you want to hear the bad news? well, after that happened, my water pump and timing belt collapsed on eachother. After that was fixed, the noise stopped. the only other possibility is your power steering fluid is low. but, play it safe and take it in to see if thats the issue. hope you have money!

ok MOST likely its either your belt is loose or goin bad, or your low on fluids, i know my 96 nt has a bad problem with belts jumping, i seem to break my powerstearing belt at least once a year, but it usually only happens when im at high rmps. i read some where that they do have a problem with the tensioner causing this to happen. the worst i have had so far was i blew ps and alt belt at the same time.
