well the shop my car is in said i need new turbo coolant lines has anybody else ever had anything done with this? if so how much did it cost you and how big of a problem is it?

It's not much of a cost and it is not very hard to replace turbo lines. You could DIY for much less.

the cars already at the shop so about how much do you think it would cost?

they didnt really say. theyre closed today, but ill find out tomorrow. it was leaking a lot of coolant and steaming.

$200 is outragious even for my currency!!!!

If its leaking its from a possible 3 places if the coolant leak is indeed turbo related.

-turbo coolant feed- its unlikely a line broke so all thats needed is new copper gaskets for the banjo. If the line is cracked, it shouldnt be more than a few bucks from a scrap yard. (I made my own)

-turbo coolant return- same as above

- thermo housing line - new rubber hose should cost 5 bucks and a couple more bucks for hose clamps

Labour might be the only thing they can get you on.
Good luck

yeah it was like $17 for the hose and the rest was labor.

i like your talon you know what it runs on the 1/4?

$45 from Slowboy Racing

These parts LIST for $39 from ANY Mitsubishi dealer. Buying all those at a discount from Conicelli would cost about $30. The lines themselves are $11 each and $5 each for the banjo bolts. Buy new lines if you have to, reuse your old banjo bolts.

But honestly, $200 to replace any of that is BULLSHIT. Labor would only take an hour MAX.
