Maybe someone can answer this question. I work at a parts store and I had just recieved an ecu that I had ordered for a friend w/a 90 tsi awd. When I got it, I of course had to see if it was an eprom. So I ever so carefully peeled back the sticker tabs that are supposed to keep tou from tampering with it and lo and behold, It's an eprom. But the problem here is upon further inspection, (peeling the main rebuilders sticker covering the mitsubishi (md)# I seen a number that doesnt correspond with anything that is even a dsm # meaning that it doesnt match any T.E.L. # thats listed anywhere. My question is would they have just used another case to put the circuit board into or should I investigate further. I'd call the remanufacturer but if I told them what I found, They would Know how I did it and void my warranty. Cant have thatnow can we. I know the company is very reputable and is very well known for anything from water pumps to rack and pinions. But we just picked them up for ecu's. Any thoughts? By the way the # is MD159963 and the company is A-1 Cardone.

Thanks man. Thats just what I was looking for. I seriously hope they just mixed up the cases. I dont think an ecu from a 3000gt will work to good in a freinds car.
