hey guys, i swapped my motor and the engine seems like it wants to turn over but its not. the timing belt is moving, so i know the engine isn't seized, plus it only has 2k on it. i put the awd flywheel in, and used my act 2600 clutch, put new starter and battery in. i double checked all my wires and fuses. would putting a 90 fwd ecu in do it? there both 90's. any little help would be great. theres a crackling noise after i try to start the engine, seems like its by the starter but i just bought it. thanks for the space

Well, without more details, I can't be of much help but I can tell you, the ECU is compatable. I had to use a 90 FWD once to get my car home and it worked, maybe not the best idea, someone smarter than me can chime in but it will crank and run.

If the car is a FWD why did you use the AWD flywheel? If you used the AWD flywheel you should have also used the starter and starter plate as the AWD flywheel is a different diameter than the FWD flywheel. I'm guessing your starter is not making good contact with the teeth on the flywheel.

If thats your case you will have to drop the tranny and put in the correct flywheel to match the starter plate. To make sure this is your problem take off your flywheel check cover and see if the flywheel has some nice wear marks where the starter gear maybe grinding on the flywheel. Thats my only guess with the info you supplied.

yes, i had my fwd motor and put it in a awd shell.... i changed the the flywheel, plate and starter to awd. still not working. last night i was hitting the gas alittle and it almost turned over, so i think its something small and stupid that i need to fix and the car wil run
