ok guys this may be a little long but I need you to get the whole pic here...here is what is happening. a couple of weeks ago my check engine light comes on, so I pull out my logger to see what is was. it came up as knock sensor, so I purchased a new one. put it in the car and erased the code. I let the car idle for a couple of mins and bam check engine lights comes back on, it was the dam knock sensor again. I couldn't fix it right away cause the car was going to j. shepherd to get my tranny rebuilt. so I got the car back I decided to try and fix the sensor. so today I pulled out the sensor, cleaned it off as well as the block thinking it wasn't grounding good(did a seach and seen what might be my problem). put it back in and same thing happens. "CHECK ENGINE"
so I look at the logger and there was "0" knock. so my question is if there is "0" knock y is it coming up knock.
I am going to test to see if there is a short in the line...if there is, I am running new wires. ..would they go back to the same places, pin 9 for detonation sensor (knock) and pin 17 for sensors ground.
