Heres the deal:

About 2 weeks ago, I couldn't get my car started (it would crank over but not start). I checked everything i could and it seemed that I had a bad ecu (i could smell the capacitors and saw some bad corrosion). I was also getting no spark and fuel. My datalogger was also coming up with a serial comm error.

I came across a EPROM ecu for a great deal and jumped on the chance and put it in today, but the car stilll would not start. My datalogger is working great now, and I also have spark at every cylinder and all spark plugs are wet with fuel when i takte them. This makes me think that I fixed the ecu problem but may have done something else in the process of finding the problem.

Some of the things I've checked:
MFI relay - good
Fuel pump - good
timing chain - good
maf translator - put back stock maf and made no difference

When cranking the engine, It almost seems like it is struggling and if I step on the accelerator at all, the cranking struggles more.

Let me know If i can provide you with more details.

Thanks for reading.

i was able to fix the problem myself, i rechecked everything and it seemed that i had not correctly put on the ignition wires where they belonged

just goes to show you have to double check everything
