Can't quiet figure this one out??????

My water pump went out a couple days ago. So i get it fixed yesterday and as i am driving home the car is running fine except when i got on it. It stuttered at 5 k rpm's kinda weird so i think maybe a boost leak. Go home pressure test it and no leaks. I am sitting in the drive way in neutral and rev it up and it stutters at 5k rpms almost like i am hitting my rev limiter at 5 grand. ANY IDEAS? thanks

yes it is i have a secondgen mas it all hooked up correctly. it just all of a sudden started this once i got it back from the shop

Try plugs and wires. You did the water pump without doing the belts? Did they miss the timing?

i had the timing belt replaced cause i broke one like 2 months and i didn't have the water pump changed. So the car was running fine when i took it in to get the pump changed. Soon as i got it out of the shop it was doing this i just checked the plugs about to weeks ago and regapped them wires are a couple months old.
