Ok, so i did a 1G top end swap on my car this summer, and after i got it on and running quasi-correctly my CEI popped up. I checked the code and it was a cylinder misfire. The head was fully rebuilt with HKS cams and stock valves and springs, with 2g oil squirters and lifters. Any ideas? Also, when my car is cold, it will idle REAL high (2000rpms), then come back down to 800rpms as my engine warms. Why is this? My ISC motor is still good.

With a 1g head swap almost everyone gets a cel. The random missfire, It usually happens while at cruising speed. You need to get dsmlink to fix. That allows you to shut off the ecu looking for a random missfire code. If you are driving and can't get home or something becuease of the RM unplug your tps sensor. You won't really be able to idle but the car shouldn't RM.

Get dsmlink!!!

Good luck
